Fire Lighting and Management

Fires are often considered to be one of the most exciting and enjoyable parts of woodland activities. Fires offer the opportunity for a variety of different activities from cooking, to telling stories or even just warming up at the end of a busy day. However, before you start having fun it is important to carefully consider safety.

When dealing with fires it is important to treat them with respect. Fires can easily cause serious injuries to an individual or group.  If not controlled properly they can spread throughout the surrounding area causing serious and often un-reversible damage.
